An indentured servant made a contract to work in order to come to the new land, they got their trip payed and worked until their contractors payed them a sum they agreed on, slaves were captives, they were bought or kidnapped by their “owners” and they weren’t paid after they weren’t needed anymore
Key points: (Servants agreed to work for 4-7 years in exchange for transportation to the colonies. Many different types of people became indentured servants. Slaves were brought to America against their will. Many different types of people were forced into slavery.
