This view of pleasure holds that people achieve pleasure by learning to be happy with whatever they get in life. in other words, one learns to be indifferent to both pleasure and pain. it is 'the golden mean' when we think of competing philosophies and pleasure:

I would say its stoicism, all great stoics discussed that in life, there will be ups and downs, but when you see all as the same, they wont matter. and you can focus on small wonders of life.
