Factor the polynomial in the numerator to get (x+6)(x+5).
The (x+6)'s will cancel out so you are left with x+5.
To find the constant term, I believe you set x+5 equal to zero, so x = -5.
Hope that helps!

The constant term has to be a 12
because (x+6)(x+2) = x^2 + 8x + 12
hence, the numerator now has a factor of (x+6)
