The Economy in post-ww1 Germany was in shambles.  Inflation had caused insane inflation rates, essentially making their currency worthless. This is partly because of the Treaty of Versai that made Germany pay about 800,000,000,000$ (Adjusted for inflation). Because they spread anti-war propaganda during the war, Hitler thought that the Jews were one of the reasons they lost the war.
