
To find the perimeter we must first find the length of the sides. How to do this is shown below:
The formula for the area of a square is:
A = s²
Area = side²
We know that area (A) is 324
324 = s²
Now we must find the length of the side (s). To do this we must get rid of the square. To remove the square from s take the square root of both sides:
√324 = √s²
18 = s
Each side of the square is 18 cm
Now we can find the perimeter of the square using the formula:
P = 4s
P = 4(18)
P = 72
The perimeter of a square with an area of 324 cm² is C. 72 cm
