Why does Colonel Brandon tell Elinor of something from his past that involves Willoughby? because Colonel Brandon knows that Marianne will not be happy with Willoughby because Colonel Brandon is jealous of Willoughby and wants Marianne to disregard Willoughby because Colonel Brandon has seen the way Willoughby treats his mother and is worried he treats all women the same because Colonel Brandon has seen Willoughby treat another woman affectionately and leave her after she is with child
