Find the value of X.

Can't we just write the solution like this??
[tex]x = { \sin } ^{ - 1} ( - \frac{1}{2}) [/tex]
Because I saw it it on yt that they have a confusing solution for this question.

Pleasee explain to me since I'm from a foreign country​
