Compared to the Wakefield et al (1998) study, which used a sample size of N=12 (and which was ultimately retracted by the journal), a later study by Madsen and colleagues (2002) used a sample size of N = 500,000+ and found that autism rates were equal among vaccinated children, compared to unvaccinated children.
